Having suicidal thoughts can be a scary thing and leave someone feeling lonely and isolated. Openly talking about suicide does not mean that someone is more likely to commit suicide. An open conversation can actually help sooth the person and work towards getting the help they need. If a person attempts suicide or reports that they are going to harm themselves immediate action needs to be taken so that the person can get professional help. Immediately call 911 in these instances. There is help out there and awareness can literally be a life savor.
