Stress plays a role in our everyday lives. There are many stressful events that happen daily such as, work, children or money. There are also more stressful life events such as promotions at work, buying a house, having a child, or a loved one passing. It is important for us to identify how we respond to stress as this can effect our sleep, mental/physical health, job performance and interactions with others. Identify ways to relax before stressors happen. Some examples might be going out to eat, exercise, reading, talking to someone or giving in to a spa treatment. Having readily available de-stressors in place can help manage the negative symptoms.
